Aboriginal Innocence sprung from the understanding that to be peace builders in the world we must nurture the seeds of peace within our own hearts.
Aboriginal means “from the source.” Innocence means “to do no harm.”
For seeds of peace to blossom, we must: turn the soil, amend the soil, weed the garden, water the garden.
We must: shed the way of war to remember the art of living.
Practicing Peace means more than shunning violence. It means actively saying “yes” to what is true.
Just so, Practicing Non-violence means more than passive resistance. It means actively saying “no” to what is false.
Nonviolence is more than a philosophy. It is a way of living that recognizes the solution to violence is in the dissolution of the boundaries that keep us feeling separated and alienated.
Through song, rhythm, reflection and the community drum circle we facilitate a creative approach to becoming effective peace builders.
